Steps to developing your faith

Becoming a mature disciple and follower of Jesus Christ is a life-long process that comes from knowing God’s Word, learning to listen to the Holy Spirit and obeying Him.

At Bayside Church, we provide a pathway which encourages us to know the foundations of the Christian faith, our identity in Christ, and to follow Jesus’ way. We also aim to equip you for ministry so that you can establish your kingdom purpose at Bayside Church.

We encourage Baysiders to participate in the range of courses and steps available for spiritual growth.

Alpha

Explore life, faith and meaning with Alpha. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith, to ask questions, and share their point of view in an open, friendly environment. Typically run over eight weeks Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, looking at a different question around faith and designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes – you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally, they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

Practicing the Way is a transformational course coming to Bayside Church in 2026.  This 'way' looks at Christian discipleship as becoming an apprentice of Jesus through the rhythm: Be with Jesus, Become like Jesus, and Do what Jesus did. These transformational practices include solitude, prayer, community and service. It's a call to form a spiritual

Practicing the Way is a transformational course coming to Bayside Church in 2026.  This ‘way’ looks at Christian discipleship as becoming an apprentice of Jesus through the rhythm: Be with Jesus, Become like Jesus, and Do what Jesus did. These transformational practices include solitude, prayer, community and service. It’s a call to form a spiritual “rule of life,” learning from Jesus’s example to find deep connection and live out God’s kingdom in the world. Sign up for the next cohort.

One Course

The One Course is a ten-week discussion-based course designed to equip singles to live out their God-given purpose in Him. The course helps participants become self-aware in decision making and empowers them to make healthy choices. Each week participants will be guided through different topics including reflections on cultural perceptions of singleness; examining the single life of Jesus; developing one’s identity; navigating life when it doesn’t go according to plan; identifying vulnerabilities and establishing strategies; looking at how a surrendered heart brings new life and fulfilling one’s need for intimacy in a healthy way. One course runs in seperate girls and guy groups.
