Leaving A Gift In Your Will

Giving for Future Generations

Generation after generation stands in awe of your work. Each one tells stories of your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4 (The Message)

“All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.” —Jim Rohn

General Information

Creating a will is a personal and significant document.  It’s about thinking of what mark you would like to leave for future generations.

When pondering how you would like to divide your estate, we encourage you to think about supporting your loved ones first and ensuring that they are provided for.  We do however recognise that many people wish to give to an organisation that is in line with their beliefs and values and that will help others.

Thank you for considering Bayside Church in such an important decision.  Your giving ensures that Jesus Christ’s good news is continually shared locally and globally through our partnerships.

At Bayside Church we take our responsibility seriously to steward the gifts we have been given to bring the good news of Jesus Christ: to give a voice to the voiceless and to bring relief to the poor and those experiencing social injustice.

How To Create A Will

In creating a will there are legal requirements and formalities that must be complied with when making a will.  Failure to comply with these requirements can invalidate a will.  Therefore, for this reason, we encourage you to receive legal advice from a solicitor, State or Public Trustee or Trustee Company to ensure that your will is clearly worded and can be validly executed.

It will also ensure that all aspects of your assets and all persons for whom you should provide are carefully considered.

Why Give To Bayside Church?

Bayside Church was planted in 1992 in Cheltenham, Melbourne with a vision of a healthy and thriving community that is focused on Jesus and His Word, that is Spirit-led and aware of the responsibilities to the local community and beyond.  Through the tireless work of staff and church members, we endeavour to live out the good news of Jesus Christ by equipping and releasing people to make a difference.

If your gift is designated to Bayside Church, it will be used at the discretion of the church to discern the best way to minister the Gospel through its various programs.
