For thousands of years people have worshipped various gods. But there has been one group of people who have always believed in one God who is all powerful, all knowing and everywhere present. A God who is the creator of all things.
The God of the Bible is this God. The Bible unfolds the story of how God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it including his prize possession – people.
When God finished creating everything he looked at it and saw that it was very good. (Gen 1:31).
From the beginning God has desired to have a loving and living relationship with his creation. He created men and women in his image (Gen 1:27) like him in character and creativity and having the responsibility to look after the earth.
He also gave them choice to worship and obey his loving commands.
God is a personal God and knows everything about you. He formed you: your personality, your gifts and talents and He wrote all your days in a book (Ps 139: 14-16). As your creator God wants only the best for your life and He has a purpose and a plan for your life that is to bring hope and a future (Jer 29:11).
God wants to be intimately involved in your life and knocks on the door of your heart to start a relationship with you (Rev 3:20).
