Prison Ministry

Bayside Church is committed to providing relief and support for those in prison and for those who are directly and indirectly affected by incarceration which includes areas involving ex-offenders, addicts and families.

Bayside Church supports the work of Blooming in Bali, a knitting project established in Kerobokan Prison in Bali.  Prisoners are served a cup of rice a day and therefore need to find the means to make money in order to survive.

Blooming in Bali project aims to help women in their rehabilitation by providing purpose and hope. Women are taught how to knit and crochet (a skill they will find useful once they leave the prison) and from there create beautiful hand made items such as boleros, cardigans, headpieces, etc.

Bayside Church provides support by donating knitting materials and selling beautiful items.

Funds raised allow the project to continue and gives women in the prison not only a second chance but also provide for their basic needs.

To support the women, you can host your own Blooming in Bali party or purchase any of the items.
