Northrise University

Northrise University is a God-given vision to empower the Zambians through education.

Zambia is one of the world’s poorest countries and previously only had two universities. Established in 2004 as the third tertiary institution and first private university, Northrise University, has focused on three areas – Theology/Bible Studies, Information Technology/Business and Agriculture.

A five-storey building was purchased in down-town Ndola (northern Zambia in the copper-belt region of Zambia) and was outfitted with state of the art equipment.  The Zambian government gave a title for 640 acres to Northrise University to build a new university campus. Plans and development are well underway.

Since opening, more than 400 Northrise graduates have shown outstanding success in achieving employment. Bayside Church, along with other churches, is committed to supporting its success.

Donations to Northrise Australia help support the student Alumni which is made up of 120 students.  The student Alumni benefits current and past students through mentoring, promoting ongoing communication through newsletters and social events, support and advice, fundraising for Northrise University, recognising special efforts through awards and assisting the local community through a variety of projects including lessons on healthcare.

Prayer and financial support are needed.
